Teenage Drivers Warned About Mobile Phone Use

Schools in the UK are being visited by safety campaigners in the form of entertainers such as jugglers to warn them of the dangers of not paying attention when driving and specifically when using a mobile phone. Young drivers are most likely to cause accidents by using their mobile phones and their car insurance quotes clarify this.

Juggler, Duncan Ball showed students at Hills Road Sixth Form College that by juggling a wedge of cash, a driving license and a mobile phone they not only risk losing their license and getting a £60 fine they also risk endangering their own lives and the lives of others.

Schemes like this have been a part of a £1.5bn effort by the government to educate young drivers about the dangers of not concentrating on the road, by using a mobile phone whether it is texting or talking, drivers are four times more likely to have a crash and young drivers are the most likely offenders.

Mobile phones have become a part of everyday life and so it's obvious that if the phone rings whilst we're driving people are highly likely to try and answer it, even if just to say they are driving and to call them back. Recent advertising campaigns have shown how even this brief call can be fatal so the government is making bold statements on the subject.

Since the introduction of fixed penalty fines of £60 and penalty points for this offence the number of incidents has reduced by up to 40% in some areas of the country. There are still times on the road where you will see the driver with their mobile phones clamped to their ear but road users have noticed the number of cases decreasing gradually since the penalties had been introduced.

So what is the safest way to use a phone in a car? Well technically using the phone in any way provides a distraction in the same way as having a conversation with a passenger does and you should refrain from doing so and only accept calls in emergencies. Many mobile phone deals now offer Bluetooth headsets so the driver doesn't have their hands tied up by their phone. A growing number of car manufacturers are also adding Bluetooth car kits as standard, especially in typical company cars so telephone calls are safer.

Valentine's Day - Try Gifting Mobile Phones, It Really Works!

Valentine's Day is celebrated on 14TH of February. This holiday is basically named after two Christian martyrs named Valentine. This day is widely celebrated across world by gifting your loved ones with mainly flowers and heart shaped outline. The U.S. Greeting Card Association has also estimated that approximately one billion valentines are sent each year world wide which proves that Valentine's Day is the second largest card selling holiday after Christmas. This association has also estimated that 85 percent of these cards are purchased by women.

On this day, men usually drench their women with loads of alluring gifts such as jewelry, teddy bears, flowers or chocolates. But some men actually make efforts to please their women as they just don't gift them a cheap box of chocolates but make striving efforts to please their lovely ladies. They try everything from cute little puppies to custom made dark chocolates, from sexy lingerie to love trap perfumes. Some men also try some nautical gifts such as paperweight made up of wood which is engraved with your love message. On the second thought, how about gifting your sweetheart with a mobile phone? I would say, not bad! As many retails come up with great offers on special occasions like Valentine's Day.

On this day, all the marketing folks stuff their shops from boxer shorts to red hearts. They also stuffed their shelves from romantic novels such as "mills and boons" to Eric Sehgal's "Love Story". And if your loved one is a book worm she would definitely go bonkers on this gift. Some of you guys can also experiment with some lingerie shopping for your girl. However, always make sure that valentine's lingerie is as much for her as it is for you. You can gift her DKNY Chemise which is extremely alluring and comfortable or you can even try and gift her red lacy camisole.

Now-a-days, leading manufacturers like Nokia, Samsung and Sony Ericsson are launching new handsets every other day and along with these handsets they also offer some lucrative offers on special affairs like Valentine's Day. They offer some amazing offers such as 12 months free line rental contract phone, SIM free phones and even Pay as you go phones. These types of offers have largely been accepted all across the world. To own a contract phone for 12 months free line rental offer, one needs to be in a contract for a fixed period of 12month with a mobile network.

And then that network offers the users some amazing benefits such as free talk time, subsidised call rates and free text messages which will allow you and lover to be in touch with each other 24x7. And for acquiring A Pay as you go phone you will have to buy a handset and a phone card from the market. But these mobiles are extremely appreciated among the "teenage love" because most of them cannot pay fixed monthly bills to the network.

Most of the retailers are also offering free gifts to the users on a condition of buying a handset from them. And some of these mobile sets are of the leading brands of the market such as Nokia E90 communicator, Samsung i550 and LG KU990 Viewty. Some of these retails often provide offers on some expensive gifts such as Sony Play station, Nintendo Wii gaming console and even laptops but just for those, who buy their high-end mobile phones from them.

Are Online Mobile Ringtone Services Really Reliable?

From the starting days of mobile phones capable of downloading data from external sources, several services providing users with recreational information such as ringtones, logos, games, and applications which facilitate users' activities while they are using their mobile phones. On the other hand, reliability of such services is in question due to leaks in some companies complaining that online mobile services convert their mobile phones to online communication machines, which is not the real theme why online data transfer protocols are introduced for mobile phones. The following paragraphs will be aiming at examining the real situation and the crucial facts behind the scene.

First, let us look at the current situation and what legal actions are taken against these conflicts. For today's world, there are over two billion mobile phones in use and more than half of these are of high standards, meaning they all have the capability to connect to the Internet via protocols such as WAP, GPRS, EDGE, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth. On this occasion, there is no limit for a user with a good mobile phone to download data from the Internet and use it in his/her mobile device whenever s/he wants to. The crucial problem gets to the scene at this point, when users are forced to download data over the Internet while they do not exactly know what they are transferring to their mobile devices. For instance, there are some services claiming that all types of mobile ringtones are available in their online store whereas one cannot download what s/he wants to do. Instead, the user is given the information that s/he did get the accurate data but the reality is just the opposite. Such users are deceived via simple tactics.

However, we can always ask for legal authorities to examine the situation and force the service provider to compensate for the expenses that were resulted from the misleading information over their website. In fact, it is very hard to go after such ailments since some services have their headquarters in other countries, so any legal attempt to examine the activities of such service providers cannot bring about a solid result. Furthermore, those service providers situated in the same country as the user may complain from the unawareness of the user about the warnings prior to the download process, maintaining that the service provider does not accept any responsibility upon such an occurrence. Thus, there remains no hope for the user except for going to the court.

Nokia 6500 Slide Black Edition Joins the Nokia 6500 Slide Range

The Nokia 6500 Slide was originally released alongside the Nokia 6500 Classic, these 6-Series Nokia phones are very special and different from any other range as they are actually named after previous Nokia phone models that were released over seven years ago. Nokia is the only manufacturer to dabble in this form of product marketing within the entire mobile phones industry but it does seem to be paying off as the new models are already starting to enjoy a cult status. The Nokia 6500 Classic is the most closely related model to the original Nokia 6500, offering slim design in a candy bar format were the attributes of the original release, but the new Classic models also offer some of the latest mobile technology and some interesting new manufacturing materials in their make up.

The Nokia 6500 Slide was released at the same time as the Classic models but the design is very different. As you would expect from the name, this model is a sliding device but it also offers an upgraded camera and some 3G services that the Classic version does not. For example, the 6500 Slide facilitates face to face video calling where the Classic, although a 3G enabled phone, only supports download and browsing 3G services.

This has caused a bit of a problem for the dedicated 3G network, 3 Mobile. They recently changed their tariffs and included a video call package with every deal. With the Nokia 6500 Classic not being able to support video calling, the price of the handset shot up and the network have to a certain degree shot themselves in the foot by taking on the phone.

Getting back to the new Nokia 6500 Slide Black Edition, this is the newest addition to the range and offers exactly the same specifications, technology and features as the original Silver Slide edition but now comes encased in a dark and seductive, black steel exterior. The new color scheme gives the handset a real feeling of expense and quality. This is not a plastic phone like so many other models, the casing is manufactured from stainless steel and gives a satisfying weight to the phone, it also provides extra protection against everyday knocks and scuffs whilst the extensive features take care of business.

The Nokia 6500 Slide is based on the design of the Nokia 6280 and 6288 handsets and unlike the Nokia 6500 Classic, this version of the 6500 is a slider.

The Nokia 6500 Slide offers slightly better power management than that of the Nokia 6500 Classic, with 6 hours of talktime and 310 hours on standby and includes all of the basic features available in the 6500 Classic such as the built-in MP3 Player, web browser, email, instant messaging, EDGE technology, UMTS support and so forth.

As with the Classic version, the Nokia 6500 Slide is a 3G enabled handset but the camera has been boasted up to 3.2 mega pixels with the introduction of Carl Zeiss Optics and the inclusion of a secondary camera for video calling is a bonus plus it has also got FM Radio with RDS.

Other enhancements available with the Slide version of the Nokia 6500 include a TV-out jack so Video clips and images can be played/viewed on your Television screen as well as enabling TV Video Calls & Conference Calls and then separately it also has A2DP Stereo support with Bluetooth.

The new Nokia 6500 Slide Black edition has been launched as an Orange network exclusive, this means that for a limited time consumers will only be able ot purchase the handset on the Orange network, after which the device will be available on other UK networks.

LG Viewty Silver Joins the LG U990 and KU990 Viewty Range

The mobile phones manufacturer LG have now released a new Silver LG Viewty to add to their expanding KU990 range of 5.0 megapixel camera phones.

The new LG Viewty Silver edition features a new sleek, silver casing that really sets off the large 3 inch touchscreen, giving it a depth and clarity that could not be appreciated with the older black casing. The idea behind the black version was to meld the casing and screen seamlessly with the phones display background being mostly black and the touchscreen keys also but the new silver casing frames the screen perfectly and gives the device a real smartphone come PDA quality.

As far as features, well, the LG Viewty Silver offers exactly the same technology and features as the original edition so it is not so much an upgrade as it is a new colour variant.

The original version has now enjoyed a complete UK network release meaning that it is now available on all UK networks, the same is not expected of the new Silver Viewty, maybe not making it as far as the 3 Mobile network or possibly even Vodafone but stranger things have happened in the mobile phones industry.

When 3 Mobile took on the original model they decided for whatever reasons to rename the phone from the standard LG KU990 Viewty to LG U990 Viewty, we are not sure what the point was in dropping one letter from the name but it certainly had consumers a little confused and meant a little more work when searching for a good deal, potential customers now have to search the search engines for both KU990 and U990 in order to gain the best deal possible, thanks 3 Mobile. The LG KU990 Viewty Silver is the successor to the Prada phone by LG who have also announced that they are to release a silver version of the Prada phone in the near future.

The LG Viewty adds a 5 megapixel camera, HSDPA and comes in a fetching black finish with black keys, the new Silver edition features silver rather than black keys but the keys on the touchscreen are still the same. The phone is thicker than the LG Prada phone and slightly heavier aswell, the KU990 has a 3 inch touchscreen with an easy to use interface, users can simply touch the screen with their finger to select the option they require and scroll through the features by sliding their finger across the screen.

The 5.0 megapixel camera has a xenon flash, auto focus and ISO sensitivity adjustment, it can record high quality video at a staggering 120 frames per second and also offers a secondary VGA video calling camera for face to face video calls.

The LG Viewty also features a built-in FM radio, an MP3 player and a video player, a web browser and a document viewer, supporting Pocket Editions of Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and supprt for PDF files, but with no WiFi and with the phones advanced media features the LG KU990 Viewty is regarded more as a top end entertainment camera phone than it is a business device.

The Silver LG KU990 Viewty has been launched on both O2 and T-Mobile UK networks and is expected on pay as you go very soon with further network rollouts predicted.

Best Cell Phone Accessories To Fit Your Personality

The ever-changing and highly competitive mobile communication industry requires business people to become familiar with the features and accessories available to cell phone user. A overwhelming array of network technologies and applications are available-- everything from Bluetooth, Blackberries, the Razr, Palm devices and of course the intriguing I-phone. Finding the best accessories, even something as simple as a ringtone for cellular phone, can be difficult. The names of the most popular carriers such as Motorola, T-Mobile, Verizon, Nextel, Nokia and Sprint, are as familiar to us as the names of automobiles. Products such as ringtones and wallpapers are entertaining, and allow customers to personalize their telephone while making that important call.

Because of the fun and beauty of ringtones and wallpapers, computer technicians and manufacturers are quick to design software and gadgets that will help in the simple installation of these items. This gave rise to a ringtone converter. The converter will help to transfer ringtones from one phone to another. These converters also help in downloading ringtones from computers and internet sites and support manual input. Ringtone transfer via SMS is also possible. A converter may also be of use when transferring a ringtone from other manufacturers. There are those that do not support converters. It is, however, possible that the phone has a built in ringtone which will help create a dignified persona for you.

Availability of converters, which does not require cables and infrared connections, proves to be easy to use if you decide to download them. If you are motivated for personalizing your setup, you may try to find a model sporting a fully functional ringtone composer- one of the best accessories to have. Using these services, you may now create and edit ringtones when you have this composer in your cellular phone. Editing and converting your treasured song into a cellular phone ringtone is a snap with the modern converter. The composer on your model may also perform this function as well as your converter.

In addition there are available websites where you can find tunes. There are those websites that use SMS format from where you can download using a converter, but there are those that simply require the downloading capacity of your phone and nothing but this. Using these formats, you will now have ringtones that may provide the personality you want.

Knowing that there are phone converters and built-in composers, it may be further diversified if you know which software is the most compatible with your converter. This information will now help you create that style you want for your high-tech gadget.

Having all this information, go to various internet sites and look for the best monophonic or polyphonic ringtone you feel is the perfect one for your cellular model. You should first check your model before you download, because editing and downloading may require assistance from your own cellular phone model or carrier. Do not give up however if your model does not support editing and downloading because manufacturers have built-in ringtones, although it may not be the tunes you want, but just the same, they are there. The best accessories for a cellular phone are out there for those who persevere. Use the internet, read reviews and articles, talk to family and study your cell plan and ringtone specs to gather all the steps necessary for developing a digital "voice" that represents the real you!

Find a Cell Phone Number

Now days you can track a cell phone number down on your own and find out where the call is coming from, who it is, and then decide what to do about it.

Why find a cell phone number?

There's many reasons why you should find a cell phone number. Any annoying calls you may get or mysterious numbers that pop up on your phone as "missed calls", you can trace them back and find out what's going on. Often times once you find out who the call is originating from you then have a better understanding of what is going on. This could be a positive thing, like an old girlfriend or boyfriend trying to get hold of you but to embarrassed to leave a message. Or it could be an enemy or telemarketing company continually harassing you. In any event, you remove the mystery from those odd cell numbers.

Who?

Who could be calling you can range from anyone from an old boyfriend or girlfriend wanting to possibly hook up again, an annoying telemarketer, a crank call, or even someone who owes you money or you owe them money. The possibilities of who is calling can be endless and can remain a mystery unless you choose to take action and solve them. You can find out the business of the telemarketer and then complain, or you can find out exactly who the prank phone caller is and then deal with him. Or you can have a surprise hook up with a lost love.

How to do it?

There are now programs on the internet where you can simply type in the mysterious cell phone number and then get a return name and even address of where the call is coming from. Whether it's a land line, another cell phone, or even an "unlisted number", reverse cell phone look up programs can trace back the number and find the origin of the caller.
