For a no-frills compact flip phone, the Samsung SCH-A310 cellular phone is about as good as it gets. This folder-type, tri-mode CDMA 3G 1x phone features a large grayscale display and an external display that can light up in seven different colors to quickly indicate who in fact is calling. The phone's high-speed web access, permits you to send and receive e-mails, faxes and short messages from anywhere - all while looking stylish at the same time.
The Samsung SCH-A310 is a sleek mobile phone that measures in at 2" X 3.5". You have the ability to personalize the phone by changing the faceplates, polyphonic ring tones and images -while the large, external LCD allows you to identify callers on the external flip.
Further, you do have seven display colors and up to 15 melodies and five classic ringers to choose from to identify callers. You can also create customized banner greetings and choose from seven idle screens to customize your phone.
The SCH-A310's easy-to-use Openwave UP browser allows you to access wireless data from anywhere - and up to ten times faster than any phone before that preceded it. What does this mean? Well, you can access quick flight schedules, directions, e-mail, stock quotes, scores, entertainment listing and weather information when you need it, from wherever you happen to be. You can also send and receive e-mails wirelessly and use its short messaging service (SMS) to communicate efficiently in real time.
Additional features on this cell phone include a speakerphone, voice activated dialing and an ear microphone for those who need to make safer calls from the road. The Samsung SCH-A310 also features a calendar, scheduler, memo book and currency converter to offer handy information quickly. The phone also comes with SIM Card memory to hold up to 250 additional names and numbers, and its standard battery offers up to 2.7 hours of talk time and up to five days on standby.
