Sony Ericsson W950i - When You are Confident It Shows

'Music' has got a new name with the Sony Ericsson music mobile phones. Marketed as 'Walkman Series', Sony Ericsson music phones can be used as good alternatives to the popular ipods and digital MP3 players. Other major mobile manufacturers like Nokia, LG, Samsung, Motorola etc. have also jumped into the music phone market, but Sony Ericsson's supremacy in music phone making still prevails. First came the W330i and the W550i. Then several models like W700i, W710i, W800i, W810i were launched. One more model called the W950i was also launched in the first quarter in 2006 which is still going great guns in terms of sales.

The Sony Ericsson W950i is a 3G phone which runs on Symbian Operating System. Compared to the rest of the music phones, this phone has got a bigger look (only in length and breath, thickness is lesser than many models)-the bigger the better! There is a 262k colour TFT screen attached in the phone with a display resolution of 240 x 320 pixels. The phone is a music phone, probably that is the reason why Sony Ericsson has skipped the camera feature in it. And when it comes to music, there are many things to explore. Let's proceed!

The Sony Ericsson W950i is equipped with a high fidelity media player which acts as the music player as well the video player. Music features like PlayNow and MegaBass are assimilated in the phone to offer you the best in music. FM radio with RDS is also included in the phone-music will never cease! Connectivity channels like Bluetooth, Infrared, GPRS, UMTS, Fast Port, USB are available in the phone. High Speed Data (HSCSD) feature also comes with the handset.

More functions like Opera Web Browser, modem, RSS Feeds, voice mail, Java MIDP2, sound recorder, QuickShare, speakerphone, business card exchange, 4GB memory etc. are also included in the Mobile phones. With so many features, the Sony Ericsson W950i is a definite show-stopper.
